LAURA JOINS THE TEAM
The practice extends a warm welcome to Laura Walsh, LSSM Dip.ISRM, who has recently joined us as Sport & Remedial Massage Therapist.
Having spent many years as a competitive water-skier, boat driver and coach, Laura is now an enthusiastic runner and has a good understanding of the demands of both competitive and recreational sport as well as the benefits of massage for general well-being.
Laura works with a wide variety of people, from those needing focused and specific rehabilitation for particdular sports injuries, people in need of support with medical conditions as well as those of us simly in search of some quiet time and a massage to rebalance from the stresses and strains of normal life.
Laura will be available on Mondays from 3pm – 8pm and Saturday mornings. She will be offering new clients a 15-minute taster massage for £5.00.
NOTICE OF REVISED FEES
With effect from Monday, 4th July 2011 adjustment fees have increased, as shown below. Current fees have been in force since March 2007 but a fee increase has become necessary owing to rising costs within the practice. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to assist you with your health needs.

Pre-payment Plans
Initial Care
Silver Plan: £396 (12 visits, equivalent to £33 per visit, includes re-assessment - 12% discount)
Child Plan (Under-16): £300 (12 visits, equivalent to £25 per visit, includes re-assessment - 34% discount)
On-going Care
Platinum Plan: £1,044 (36 visits, equivalent to £29 per visit, includes re-assessment - 23% discount)
Gold Plan: £744 (24 visits, equivalent to £31 per visit, includes re-assessment - 18% discount)
If, for whatever reason, you need to cease care and have a credit balance remaining from one of the pre-payment care plans, then a refund will be given.

All pre-existing care plans will be honoured on existing fee structuer until completion of the plan.

In April, we were delighted to launch a new book in which 29 health professionals had contributed a wide range of chiropractic and health topics (including a chapter written by our Dr Paul McCrossin). The book is available to purchase at the practice for £14.99.
CAR PARKING
In recent weeks, many practice members have been experiencing a few issues with the parking meters on the High Road and in the side roads close to the practice. Frequently, if cash is deposited in a meter, it refuses to accept it and will only take payment by phone – which can be a tad irritating if you have forgotten your mobile phone or, indeed, don’t own a mobile phone! Also, for those of us who use pay-as-you-go mobiles, the cost of phoning to pay can add to the cost of parking.
We would suggest either parking in one of the local car parks; alternatively try using Waitrose, which is a 5-10 minute walk away on Ballards Lane, or Sainsbury a few minutes up the High Road towards Whetstone. Both supermarkets offer free parking for up to 1.5 hours. Of course, the management would appreciate it if you nip in on your way to or from the practice and buy a news paper or a couple of items for your larder!
